湘中早石炭世化石群落探讨

EARLY CARBONIFEROUS FOSSIL COMMUNITIES IN CENTRAL HUNAN

摘要: 近年来,化石群落作为一进化单元,作为生态地层学的基础,作为自然环境的指示体,受到古生物工作者的青睐。笔者在参加中国石炭二叠纪腕足动物研究的工作中,发现湘中多条早石炭世地层剖面,不仅地层出露完全,而且富含以腕足类和珊瑚为主的多门类化石。各地层剖面上化石的分布和产出表现为当时生物生存实体的规律性变化。为此,笔者对这一地区的化石群落作一探讨。

Abstract: This paper deals with the concepts and recognition of the fossil communities and applications of the optimum segmentation method to the community classification. Many kinds of fossils occur in large amounts in the Menggang’ao and Zimenqiao Formations in central Hunan. In this paper, 15 fossil communities have been distinguished in an attempt to approach the vertical distribution of these communities in the strata and the geographic distribution in central Hunan. This paper also discusses the composition, framework and environment of the communities cited above. The main factors controlling the stratigraphic and geographic distribution of these communities include sea water depth and substrate features.
