Abstract: The applications of mineral inclusions to the studies of sediment diagenesis are interpreted as one of the notable advances in sedimentology, which has not only contributed scientifically newthoughts and techniques to the studies of sedimentology, Dut opened up the broad way to inclusionmineralogy as well. This paper systematically discusses and deals with the applications of mineralfluid inclusions to the studies of the origin of sedimentary rocks, diagenesis, diagenetic microprovinces, diagenetic conditions, diagenetic stages, diagenetic environments, diagenetic evolution,burial history and so on.
