Abstract:
The Cambrian oolitic limestones in the Dabeiwang section in Xuzhou,Jiangsu are characterized by numerous layers, complicated textures and types and diverse morpholo-gies.They are represented primarily by radial ooides, concentric ooides and radial-comcen-tric ooides.More precisely, the biogenic ooides appear in the Lower Cambrian strata, the concentric-radial ooides occur in the Middle Cambrian strata and are mostly dolomitized, and the radial and desiccated (or micritized) ooides are observed in the Upper Cambrian strata in the study area.
