Abstract:
The formerly Qingbaikouan Longtanhe Formation should be assigned to the Early Nanhuan strata. A succession of 18-22 m thick of yellowish grey fine-to medium-grained quartzitic sandstones intercalated with lithic quartzsiltite is found to occur at the top of the Silurian strata in the Baiquan-Shiguanmen zone, Kaixian and in Miaoba, Chengkou, and thought to be the Middle Devonian Yuntaiguan Formation. The facies transition exists in the Lower-Middle Jurassic strata in Wanxian and Tongjiang regions. The small-sized intrusive rocks are scattered in the areas north of the Chengba fault. The neotectonism within the Chengba and Qiyaoshan faults are examined in particular.
