Abstract: The Palaeogene reservoir rocks in central Bohai Gulf depression are believed to be less developed in the current aspects of research and exploration.The clastic reservoir rocks occur on a wide range of scales in varying depositional systems in the depression.The rock types are composed of arkose,lithic arkose and feldspathic litharenite with good reservoir quality and high porosity.The physical properties of the reservoir rocks primarily depend on the rock types,sedimentary facies,diagenesis and burial depth.
