Abstract:
The petrology, logging response and seismic reflection are dealt with for the alluvial fan deposits in the lower submember of the first member of the Kongdian Formation in the Huanghua depression. The emphasis is placed on the recognition of four lithofacies associations, four logging facies and three seismic facies;division of mid-fan and fan apex subfacies;construction of the vertical sequences of the alluvial fan deposits, and examination of spatial distribution of the alluvial fan deposits. The lower submember of the first member of the Kongdian Formation is assigned to the progradational alluvial fan depositional system developed in the dry climatic conditions. The results of research in this study may provide useful approach to the exploration of palaeo-environmental changes,palaeo-tectonic uplifting and basin evolution from the second member to the first member of the Kongdian Formation.
