Sedimentary characteristics of the Ordovician limestone deposit in the Jingyang-Chunhua region, Shaanxi

摘要: 陕西泾阳-淳化地区奥陶系地层可划分为四个组,自下向上为三山子组、贾汪组、马家沟组、桃曲坡组。其中马家沟组的上段碳酸盐岩特纯,CaO的平均含量>54%,MgO的平均含量<1%,是华北地台其它地区所没有的,构成特大型石灰岩矿床。

Abstract: The Ordovician strata in the Jingyang-Chunhua region, Shaanxi may be grouped into four formations, from the base upwards including Sanshanzi, Jiawang, Majiagou and Taoqupo Formations. The carbonate rocks more than 1000 m in thickness in the upper member of the Majiagou Formation are very pure, with the average CaO contents of more than 54%, and average MgO contents of less than 1%. These carbonate rocks constitute the extralarge limestone deposit which is unmatchable on the North China platform.
