THE TEMPESTITE SEQUENCES AND SEDIMENTARY ENVIRONMENTAL EVOLUTION OF THE GAOYUZHUANG FORMATION IN PINGQUAN,HEBEI

The three types of tempestites.developed in the Gaoyuzhuang Formation,Pingquan, Hebei.are quite different each other in rock types,sedimentary structures and tempestite sequences.They are interpreted as the products of storm processes.at different depths of sea water,thus suggesting the sedimentary environmental evolution from marine incursion to regression in the study area during the deposition of the Gaoyuzhuang Formation.
