SEDIMENTARY FACIES AND FRAMEWORK OF THE LOWER CRETACEOUS STRATA IN THE ZHOUKOU DEPRESSION

More Information
  • Received Date: April 04, 1995
  • Published Date: February 27, 1996
  • The sedimentary facies types of alluvial fans, fluvial deposits, fan deltas and normal deltaic deposits prevail in the Lower Cretaceous strata in the Zhoukou depression in which the Tanzhuang-Shenqiu facies zone appears in a EW-oriented narrow form. The sedimentary framework of the Zhoukou depression during Early Cretaceous time has been ascer-tained on the basis of the study of provenances, palaeotopography, palaeocurrent, water media and palaeoclimates.
