    • The division of the Cretaceous strata in northeastern Jiangxi has been highly muddled for the long time. Four types of the bounding surfaces of the Cretaceous event deposits are redivided in this study, including three formation-scale and two member-scale lithostratigraphic units. Each of the lithostratigraphic units is interpreted to be the response of sedimentation to the specific events during the distinct phases of initiation, development and termination of the basin, and constrained all the time by the palaeoclimates in the study area.
