Abstract
The Donghe sandstones are believed to be the major hydrocarbon reservoirs in central Tarim Basin, Xinjiang. Eleven parameters are selected to evaluate the reservoir sensitivity, including quartz, feldspar, lithic fragments, chlorite, illite, mixed illite-montmorillonite beds, ferroan dolomite, ferroan calcite, calcite, porosity and permeability. The model has been constructed for the interpretation of the reservoir sensitivity and well logs of the Donghe samdstones by using the successive regression analysis. The results in this study show that the method is workable for the prediction of the reservoir sensitivity of other exploratory wells in the light of well logs.
