  • The trace fossils and paleosporomorphs are found for the first time in the Bamuguomengla Formation in Gongbo'gyamda, Xizang. The unfossiliferous "Pangduo Group" is redivided. The recrystallized corals, brachiopods and conodonts are identified from the limestone within the Nangxian mélanges. The Gangdise magmatic arc is divided into the Yarlung Zangbo composite batholith zone in the south and Gangdise main ridge composite batholith zone in the north. The residual lenticular inclusions of garnet diopsidite and biotite-bearing diopsidite-garnet-amphibole rocks are observed in the Namjagbarwa Group Complex in the Mainling-Baga zone. A succession of metamorphic rock series composed of the high amphibolite facies-granulite facies is recognized for the first time in the Bala Formation Complex of the Nyainqentanglha Group Complex.
