  • The quartz from the gold-bearing quartz veins of boulangerite sample formed during the later stages of gold mineratization in the Mayum gold deposit,Xizang was dated by using the 40Ar/39Ar fast-neutron activation technique, which gave a plateau age of 22.46±1.20 Ma.This plateau age represents the age of quartz(crystallization). This determination shows that the mineralization of the Mayum gold deposit may be traced back to the middle and late Himalayan.
