    Structural deformation and genetic mechanism of the Qingping klippe in central Longmen Mountains

    • The structural deformation and genetic mechanism of the Qingping klippe in central Longmen Mountains are examined based on the field observation and indoor analysis.The Qingping klippe as an overlapping klippe may fall into five layers,each of which is variable in genesis and character.The lower two layers consist of thrust nappes,and the upper three layers are made up of gliding nappes.This phenomenon that both the thrust nappes and gliding nappes appear in the same klippe has not been found yet in other klippes of the Longmen Mountains,and illutrates the view that the development of the thrust nappes are earlier than that of the gliding nappes in the Longmen Mountains.
