Abstract
The Raojiashan region is located in the middle part of the Wuyishan precious polymetallic mineralization zone, and characterized by well-developed fault structures, intense magmatism,well-defined geochemical anomaly and pervasive silver polymetallic mineralization, and numerous ancient galleries and significant quantities of ancient slag deposits. The copper and molybdenum mineralization appears mostly in and near the massifs and dikes in the Lengshuikeng region, where the widespread alteration and mineralization indicate the possibility of larger-scale orebodies in the deep levels. The NW-trending faults occur as major ore-control structures, and the Yanshanian magmatism once played an important role in the polymetallic mineralization in the study area. The ore shoots tend to be concentrated in granite porphyry or neighbouring fracture zones. The mining remains of numerous ancient galleries and significant quantities of ancient slag deposits may also be the evidence on exploration potential in the study area.
