    Scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrum analysis of the ore minerals from the Liwu copper deposit,Jiulong,Sichuan

    • Scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrum(SEM + EDS) are applied to the identification of the ore minerals from the Liwu copper deposit,Jiulong,Sichuan.The analytical results in this study have revealed that sphalerite contains more than 8% of Fe,and both chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite contain minor amount of Cr.In addition,isomorphous mixtures of guanajuatite,bismuth and nuclear fuel oxides are also identified for the first time in the ore samples.
