  • The present paper gives an introduction of the principles, techniques and application of the EH4 magenetic imaging system to the exploration of the groundwater resources in the Honghe region in Yunnan. The emphasis is placed on the investigation of the geological structures of the overburdens and morphology of subterranean streams, and the delineation of the hydrous karst zones. The techniques presented in this study turned out to be very effective in the exploration of groundwater resources in the Honghe region in Yunnan.
