  • The environmental aspects of the economic development in China especially in western China are discussed in the light of the internal and external results of research on the relationship between the economic development and environmental destruction. The vast area of China's West may be divided, according to natural and geographical conditions, into three geographical provinces.The possible environmental problems and solutions are also presented referenced to the natural and geographical conditions, distribution of mineral resources and industrial structure in individual provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of western China.
