The discovery of the Middle Devonian plant fossils from the Yushu region in Qinghai

More Information
  • Received Date: April 14, 2002
  • Published Date: March 29, 2004
  • The plant fossils Psilophyton dapsile discovered for the first time are well preserved in the formerly Lower Carboniferous Zadoi Group in western Yushu, Qinghai. In terms of this discovery, the strata in which the fossils are hosted may be assigned to Middle Devonian in age. The discovery will contribute to the investigation of the Devonian sedimentary environments in southern Qinghai and the division of the Devonian floral provinces.
