Risk assessment of the debris flow hazards around the No.2 Yanghu hydropower plant

More Information
  • Published Date: December 29, 2009
  • The debris flow hazards are common in the construction of the hydropower stations. The method of the analytic hierarchy process proposed by Saaty is applied in this study to the risk assessment of the debris flow hazards in five debris flow gullies around No.2 Yanghu hydropower plant,Xizang. The results of assessment show that there is the most potential risk in the 5th debris flow gully, followed by the 4th debris flow gully.Particular attention and reasonable suggestions should be taken in the design and construction of No.2 Yanghu hydropower plant.
