Spatio-temporal distribution and current state of the research of the tungsten deposits:An overview

More Information
  • Published Date: December 29, 2009
  • The present paper gives an overview of the spatio-temporal distribution,type,genesis,Sm-Nd dating of scheelite and current state of the research of the tungsten deposits. The tungsten deposits in the world are dominantly developed in the circum-Paific metallogenic zone, north of the Mediterranean Sea,South Ural, and Western and Central Asia. The mineralization ages span the Proterozoic to the Cenozoic, especially the Mesozoic. In China, tungsten mineralization occurred mostly during the early Yanshanian. The volcanic-sedimentary type is the main genetic type.
