Sedimentary characteristics of the Devonian Donghe Sandstones in Tuoputai on the southwestern margin of the Akutule uplift,Xinjiang

More Information
  • Published Date: March 29, 2010
  • The Devonian strata in Tuoputai on the southwestern margin of the Akukule uplift,Xinjiang consist of one third-order sequence including one transgressive systems tract and one highstand systems tract based on the integration of the three dimensional seismic data, well logs, cores and thin section examination of the Donghe Sandstones. The transgressive systems tract is built up of the offshore and nearshore deposits while the high-stand systems tract is assembled by the nearshore and foreshore deposits which have provide a locus for the development of hydrocarbon reservoirs and lithologic traps.
