  • The Zhongzui copper deposit in Jiulong,Sichuan is located in the Jianglang metamorphic core complexes on the western margin of the Yangtze platform.The country rocks of the copper deposit consist dominantly of Mesoproterozoic metamorphic volcano-terrigenous clastic sedimentary rocks,and the primitive rocks have gone through multistage deformation and metamorphism.The distribution of the alteration zone,mineralization zone and ore bodies is controlled by ductile shear zone.The copper deposit has polyphase and polygenetic origins of ore-forming matter,and resulted from the Yanshanian(143-135 Ma) mesothermal to hypothermal replacement,filling and mineralization.Genetically,it belongs to the reworked marine sedimentary deposit.The ore-forming matter is derived mainly from the autochthonous ore-bearing rock series,and the ore-controlling structures are made up of ductile shear zones and dome structures.
